Changing the roof covering the garage so that you could add more windows on the second floor of the house. It might help in the winter in Kamloops because it is normally sunny which would naturally heat the house so that the heat would not have to always be on. But like your other post comments about the tormbe wall would definitely be a good idea for the summers in Kamloops being so warm, because they would help the house stay a more constant temperature rather then having to constantly be changing whether you have the heat or air conditioning on.
